| Pinal Hispanic Council in conjunction with the Eloy Governor’s Alliance Against Drugs (EGAAD) Coalition were awarded a three year State Incentive Grant to implement Botvin’s Life Skills Training (LST) Program to all sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students attending the Eloy Elementary School District. |
The Pinal Hispanic Council in conjunction with the Eloy Governor’s Alliance Against Drugs Coalition were awarded a four year grant which focuses on the implementation of Botvin’s Life Skills Training classes for high school students, organize the student leadership summit, and develop twelve culturally specific alternative activities that are free of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs for middle and high school students in the Eloy community

EGAAD’S Mission is to provide comprehensive, substance abuse prevention services to high-risk youth and families to reduce the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Therefore, the vision of the EGAAD Coalition is to create a safe and healthy environment for residents, families, schools, and communities.

Actively recruits parents to participate in the Pinal Hispanic Council's, Drug-Free Workplace Parent Training Program. The Governor’s Division of Drug Policy Parents Commission sponsors the program and the theme is “The Power of Parenting, Strengthening Awareness”. The Program includes: Educational Flyers, with information on the issues our children face today.
