Proyecto Bienestar is aimed at reducing stigma associated with the illness of alcoholism and/or drug addiction

Our project is committed to providing opportunites for recovering people, empower them and to influence public policy.

Our team is dedicated to honoring and celebrating the positive experience of recovery.

This project seeks to be accessible, available and acceptable, by empowerment that takes concepts from the Razalogia Consensus Model developed by Dr. Robert Vargas. The four cultural components are:

Conocimiento

(Mutual Understanding)

Confianza

(Trust)

Unidad

(Unity)

Poder

(Power)

Recruit recovering people, their families and friends.

E mpower recovering people and their

families in their physical, emotional, and

spiritual growth.

Create an ALIANZA consisting of individuals in recovery, partners, friends, and allies.

Organizing to address the barriers related to stigma and community mobilization.

Voice of recovery. “A voice to those who are not being heard”.

Educate. Implement a public education campaign.

Respect. Strive to ensure that people in recovery are treated with dignity and respect.

Your personal goals, choices, dignity, respect, health, personal satisfaction and hope.

 

Proyecto Bienestar commits itself to assisting the Hispanic Recovery Community in; organizing an ALIANZA, training in leadership development, executing a public awareness campaign, which in turn, empowers individuals and families, reduces stigma and ultimately impacts public policy efforts.

Substance abuse addiction

Cultural competency

Advocacy & Community mobilization

TO DEVELOP THE ALIANZA we need individuals, families, allies and people in recovery recruited from the Eloy, Arizona City, Picacho, Coolidge, Florence and Casa Grande areas. Membership is open to all interested individuals.
