Somebody is watching you!
| When you’re getting dressed in the morning, putting on one sock at a time, combing your hair, brushing your teeth and, getting ready for work someone is watching you. | |
| When you’re talking to a friend, someone is watching your gestures, your facial expression, and listening to your tone of voice. | |
| When your angry and say a cuss word, when you’re upset and yell, when you’re happy and laugh, or sad and cry you’re being watched. | |
| Later your behaviors are being emulated, programmed, and someday it will be passed on again to another person who has been watching the behaviors YOU initially passed on. | |
| If you abuse alcohol, use drugs, smoke tobacco, someone is watching you and learning your behaviors. | |
| Sometimes there are more than one, maybe two or three, and they’re watching you! | |
| It’s your child, watching and learning. | |
| You are his or her’s biggest role model, so watch what you do. | |
| They are! |
Mom, Dad, Foster parent, Grandparent or Guardian I am it. It’s up to me, and the first thing I discovered about my kids is that THEY COME WITH OUT DIRECTIONS. No “How to” Book. Nothing to help me prepare for the unique personalities of my children and the problems they face in today's’ world. But I’ve learned, from remembering what my parents did, watching other parents, trial and error, and asking questions. Pass on what you’ve learned, what you have experienced. Get some advice for the future. There’s Power in Parenting and we all need to “Strengthen our Awareness”.
